C5 Transmission

    1972 4 Door Comet, 200, C4 1970 Dodge Coronet 1975 Econoline 250
    Is a C5 a good transmission for a highway commuter? All the talk is about C4 vs AOD.

    Never heard of one being used. I have only heard of C4 and C6 so no clue.

    My understanding is the C5 is just an updated C4. A lot of stuff interchanges between the two and I believe you can convert a C5 to a C4 pretty easily. The mighty Paul will know...

    C5 replaced the C4 in '82 and it also has a locking converter
