Hi folks, need a bit of wisdom. My 72 Mav has a pan fill C4,not sure of the year, large bellhousing,164 tooth flexplate. I was about to give it its initial start, when I realized the previous "mechanic" we'll call him put the wrong flexplate on it for the engine... Getting the proper flexplate tomorrow, but I'm puzzled with the trans. No ID tag on it anywhere for year and such, but the dipstick reads "use dexron II oil"... Its a Ford dipstick by the part #... Last account I had with dexron in a 3 speed auto was a C5... Just want to get the right filter, and its mostly still in the car... Have help coming over the weekend to help with the pull... Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Skip :D
