Hi guys how is every one.

Being new to the american car scene my knowledge is limited. I have a leak, a big leak from my gear box, the bloke i brought it from said that this is common fault and that the torque drive seal always leak.

Is he wrong and is it a major job to fix.

where is it coming from? if it's the front of the transmission it could be the front seal. you have to pull the transmission and convertor out. pull the seal out and replace it. a bit of work, but not too hard. might want to have the rest of the tranny checked out if you do this. there's also a rear seal. pull the driveshaft out and replace that one also. if its coming out around the bottom pan the pan gasket may need to be replaced. if you do that change the filter in there also. good luck.:)
