about 4 yrs ago when i started buying the things i knew i would need if and when i ever got around to a restore i purchased a set of bumper guards, front and back. i was told they would fit a 71.now that the restore is 80% done and the bumpers have been taken off and rechromed we went to install my brand new bumper guards that have been in storage along with everything else i collected along the way.upon looking in the box which remained vertually unopened for 4 yrs(i did check to make sure the package had "small bumper" bumper guards in it when it arrived years ago)they dont fit.i took for granted the small bumper cars from 69-72 the bumpers were all the same,i thought.i hope the pictures do it justice and someone can confirm my mistake in purchase.i saw the date on the box but once again i thought they were all the same from 69-72 and was told by the seller these would fit my 71.the ones with the 2 bolts are from my 71 which is probably obvious to everyone but me,and the single bolt are the ones i bought.i already had rear ones on the car which as you maybe can see can be cleaned and pass until i get the right ones.i have made a couple not REAL costly mistakes along the way but craig and the rest of you fine gents have steered me in the right direction when i had questions and i truely do appreciate all the help.this has been a long road that i think i can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.time to hit ebay and our wanted section here and see if i can find a set of front guards and also see if i can sell the new ones i have.by the shape of them can anyone assure me they are for a 72 and thats the way i should list them so i dont screw anyone else up?thanx, bob

I agree with the Pinto guess. A quick google search for the part number and everything I saw that started with D1FZ fits Pintos.
