Where are the build sheets located on a 72 Maverick? I got the seats out of my 72 today and pulled the carpet hoping to not pull the front and rear floors with the carpet. I got very lucky and all of the floors are in fine shape with most of the paint still in place and NO rust through.
I kind of thought when I pulled the rear seat I would find a build sheet on the bottom side of it. Looks like the seats have been re-upholstered though so maybe they pulled them out. I have not pulled the top part of the rear seat yet. Gonna have to take a long back break after the bottom half.
Only vehicle I have ever found a build sheet on is my 86 Bronco and I found 2 in that thing.
On my 71 F100 my dad bought new I probably pulled the build sheet out and tossed it not knowing or caring what it was. lol
I sure am getting some nice surprises on this car. She sat in a field since 1984 and both times I looked at her she had water sitting in both floor boards.

I have had 1 mav and 3 comets and never found a build sheet on any of them. Everytime I ask someone I get a different answer from the rear seat to inside the front seat covers.

In my 73, it was in the seat springs, under the front seat. In my 74, it was under the carpet (and perfect!)

i always find them in my parts cars, never the cars i plan on keeping, lol. but i have found them in the front bottom springs, the springs in the rear seat back, under the rear seat and various places under the carpet.

in one of my mustangs yrs ago, i found the build sheet for it taped to the dash wiring behind the cluster. it was a '67 model, but that's a different story :)
