    Hello,

I am having trouble with the drivers side brake light. The blinker light is not working and I belive it is the wiring connection. Moving the wires around will get it to work periodically.

I'm not sure about the wiring though. On the passenegr side (pitcure attached) there is a red w/blue stripe wire and a brown wire going into the socket plug. There is also a black wire going into a clip connector. This is the blinker clip.

On the drivers side (picture attached) I have a green w/red strip wire and a brown wire going into the socket plug. And there is a seperate black and seperate red wire connecting to the blinker clip.

What is the additional red wire on the drivers side blinker clip? It seems the blinker will not work at all without this red wire.

Also, when I use this blinker my voltage gauge swings from side to side.

I'm not good at wiring so I'm reaching out for assistance.

Can the red and black wire on the driver side be connected together in a clip connector? Is one of them supposed to be a ground wire and connected somewhere else?

    Any help is appreciated.
