Hi all - chupafuego has a parts wanted ad for a brake/clutch pedal assembly. I have a clutch pedal assembly that was swapped into my car by the previous owner. From what I can tell in my 74 shop manuals, the clutch pedal is simply a bolt on to the same brake pedal and assembly used for auto or stick. Am I right on this? If not can someone that has done the swap to/from stick please explain the differences? P.S. I have an auto and don't need the clutch pedal assembly. Thanx, Jamie
On early cars you can swap the pedal without swapping the steering column support. Look to the right of steering column support where the brake pedal mounts. If both cars have a red clip holding hold the pedal bar ... then just the pedals can be swapped. If either car as a nut there instead of the red clip you have to swap the entire steering column support bracket as well.
