For a while now the fan for my heat and defrost hasn't worked but I'm not sure what the problem is with it. The head and defrost works, but it just kinda leaks out, makin it hard to drive when the windows fog up in the rain. I checked for blown fuses but they were all good, but I have no idea how this fan works so I don't know where to go next.

Are you saying your blower motor works intermittently or that it only has low speed??? If its a speed issue...The blower motor resistor is probably shot (this generally makes em only work on high though) Its also possible the motor itself has given up the ghost...Tap it with a hammer and see if the speed picks up. Good luck!!!

Looks like he's saying it dosen't work at all. I'd start by unplugging the blower motor and see if you have power at that plug. Then make sure the motor is grounded well.

Yeah, it doesn't work at all. Where exactly is the motor located at?

The blower motor is sandwiched between the firewall and the heater box on the right side of the passenger compartment under the instrument panel.
Check applicable fuses...The fan switch itself and the wireing to the blower motor to be certin you have power at the motor. You could also hotwire the motor itself and see if it works...If it does...Check above listed components...

On the bottom of the heater box you will see an orange wire...this is the power wire going to the blower motor. Send 12 v through this (orange) wire and the motor will spin. If nothing happens then mostlikely the blower motor is shot and needs to be replaced.

Ok thanks guys. I hate having to park off campus cause it makes it hard to work on the car. It's like a 15-20 minute walk to get to my parking lot. As soon as I get a chance I'll take a look and see what's goin on.

Thanks guys. I played around with that little orange wire and now my fan works great. I think it was just a little loose. Thanks again.
