Best rear shocks

Upgrading to a 4 leaf setup soon and was wondering what are the best shocks to put on the rear of are cars thanks

 

I like QA1 shocks.

 

Hope you like a stiff ride. A friend of mine put those on his Maverick, and it rode like a brick ####-house.

 

I had to pull one leaf to soften the ride...

 

KYB? Tokico?

 

I have KYB, but the Caltracs kinda change the ride.

 

Are four leafs too stiff for cal tracs?

 

I had to remove the bottom leaf frm my "General Spring" after suffering for 2 1/2 yrs of suffering a bone jarring ride. I wish I had done it after I first had them installed. I removed the leaf myself. I am using KYB shocks on all 4 ends. If ur using the car for 1/4 mi. drag mostly, the ride may not be to stiff. Anything else, it's a whole different ballgame.

 

Nope, I like the ride, it's not saggy assed.

 

I have 4-leafs with KYB......NO complaints.....NO harsh ride.

 

Who did u get ur springs frm? What do u have them installed on? My car rode all togther different after removing the bottom leaf. B4 removing that leaf I cud feel just abt any ripple in the road..

Just say no to air-shocks on a Maverick.

Car rides just fine.


I did purchase this car below back in 2007. It already had 4-leaf springs installed. These are not air shocks jacking the rear-end up....that is just the leaf springs. Road like a conastoga wagon.....very harsh ride. No movement at all...very harsh. I have since sold the car.

 

I kept mine stock, still use air shocks till this day.
