What is the best head and roller cam combo for a daily driven 347 ? All I want is 600 horse power engine that gets 32 mpg in town :bouncy:. But really I want a strong running reliable 347 that I can afford to drive to work every day . Thanks for any and all advice .

32 mpg and 600 hp, A Blower is definitely in your future along with a perfect tune. Then the 32 will still be a question, We do have 2 Mustangs that will get 28 on the street, But they dont quite have 600 HP.

sounds like u want to much LOL, IDK if you can make 600HP on a stock 302 block. maybe 20MPG and 400Hp is more reasonable.IMO

edelbrock perfomer rpms, the smallest afrs (195s i think), trick flow twisted wedge heads.
the ford motor sports f303 cam or a cam of similar specs.
any of these heads and a cam close to the f cam should get you over 400 hp on a 347. as for gas milage you really will want to talk to high end engine builder. they can gide you in building the most efficent motor possibe. every componet from the air cleaner to the oil pan will make a difference on the power and gas milage you will get. also your driveing habbits will have great effect on your milage. i find people who ask for big hp will have a heavy foot and will never have good gas milage.

    Thanks for the info bryant.

I was joking about the 600 hp 32 mpg engine but I don`t think that 350 hp at the wheels 20ish mpg on the highway it too much to ask ?
