After talking to John the other day we were concerned that people who don't know us and have never been to a round up that all it is is a bunch of beer drinking and we're a bunch of drunks. I just wanted to clarify that the Round up, put on by Craig Selvey, is a family oriented get together. There are activities planned for the whole day that include the whole family, and I brought my 1 1/2 yr old last year and won't hesitate to bring him again this year. Many will have their children with them. The beer drinking goes on after hours in the parking lot where a few of us get together and talk cars and drink a few friendly beers. It is a great time for everyone. Just wanted any would be roundup people to know that. Thanks
I'm going to try and make it to the round up in July. And just turning 21 I'll be able to take advantage of some after hours beer drinking. I bet if I drove my car its going to take about a hundred dollars in gas to just get there and back. My car gets bad gas mileage.
It might be that bad this summer. I've read rumor of gas hitting the 2.50 mark and possibly the $3.00 a gal mark this summer. But it will be worth every dollar.
Thanks Ward........I also bring my 2 sons(10 & 5) and have brought them the last 3 years. They look forward to the round-up almost as much as I do. It really is VERY family oriented and I hope that no one misinterpets some of the talk on the boards as a big "lush party" because it is quite the contrary. John.
I always wondered what went on after dark. Guess going to bed at 9:00 PM has kept me away from the Roundup nitelife. :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman Dan Man, I am such a liar!
ROUND-UP NIGHT LIFE I for one am looking forward to the "late night chevy hunt'' Should be alot more fun with the 302/ 462's. John
john fasig...guess you wont be able to make the driveby at the walmart looking for cops this year...you will be drawing to much attention. Dan...right. I remember being in the backseat of Wiblurs car with John Ford, think you were up front for that beer run. I cant believe I just said I was in the backseat with john....
I hope I don't have to use 'professional courtesy' to get us out of the slam this year. Sounds like I missed some interesting (?) events.
