What is the difference between engine code "T" ( 6-200 1 bar. carb.) and "L" (6-250 1 bar. carb.) Are the blocks themselves very different? How differently are they are arranged in the engine compartment? Thanks,
The 250 block was enlarged(taller & slightly wider) to accommodate the longer stroke crankshaft... Because of height a shorter carb was used, I believe motor mounts are also different... The bell housing pattern on 250 block is very different than other small Ford 6 cyl(144/170/200), it's bolt pattern is same as the 289/302/351... This means it also uses the small block V8 starter...
