:cry:well on january 8th i was on my way home from work. i hit a patch of red gravel in the road and lost control of the 73 mavy.... i planted her in to a tree witch spun me in to the ditch but saved me from the 50ft drop off on the other side of the road.... sad to say the car is in bad shape.... totaled most of the pass. side quarter panel, trunk floor and crushed my front lower valence also bending up the front cross member where the strut bars attach.... so with the rear sub frame destroyed im going to put her out of her misery.. Now for the good news.... i still have my 70 shell and olny have to pay $310 in back fees to dmv.... all the parts i need for the 70 are good on my 73 so one of the two will live on and keep my passion alive. ps... since the 70 is striped im going to take the build slow and do some mods to make her handle better (expecally in icy conditions w/ red rock...) and mor fun to drive.

Never good to see this things happen but out of all the bad things, be thankful to God you did not get hurt. Good luck on your new project and keep us all updated on your progress!

I transformed a 72 Comet into a 73 Maverick much the same way years ago. Flipped it over in a ditch. bought the 73 for $100 and was driving again. The fact that you made it out unhurt is the important part tho.
