Ok guys I have to ask again.

Which resivour is used for the front on the '73 master cyl. with drum/drum?
One fitting is larger than the other and it apears I need to swap them. The newer master is for a '75 disc/drum. I know that the larger bowl is for the front, right?

    I've had a few
I had to get brake line adapters when I swapped my M/C. But thats just because I didn't want to reflare a new fitting on the line.

If you look at where the coresponding reservoir lines are going from the master cylinder to the distribution block, you'll notice that one goes to the front brakes (distribution block splits it for left front & right front) and the other to the rear...

i always heard, that is because most of the braking is done with the front brakes. when you apply pressure to the brake peddle. pressure will first be applied to the front brakes. keep the car under better control.

    re: front bigger reservoir

Were the Maverick Master Cylinders used for other cars with Front Disc brakes?

Disc brakes require more fluid (to move the larger pistons).
