Back on the road after 5 years

This is a maverick that i've been putting back together for a few years. Saved from the scrap heap, she is now finally back on the road and driving. I have a few things left to do. Lower, v8, chrome and wash etc.

She's a right hand drive 69.5 200ci

I'd just like to say thanks to the people on this forum who gave me advise, pointed me in the right direction for parts and shipped items to the UK. Without you it would have been a much harder job to do.

Right hand drive? First one I have seen.

How did one purchase one of those back in the 70s? Did it come over left hand and have to have parts added, or did Ford do it before they shipped it?

I was told by one of the members on this forum that no mavericks left the factory in R/H drive. My maverick was built for export with I think it's 99 on the door tag. Converted using australian parts, but from what i'm looking in to.

 

Now that is something you don't see everyday

It's like looking in a mirror. Are there any other right hand drive Mavericks that you know of?

I haven't seen any more over here. There were a few people that wanted to convert one for shows and stuff on this forum a few years ago. Not sure what came of it.

Very cool mav, We have visited the U.k In the seventies and were amazed with the old (English Fords) from the sixties. But never saw a Maverick.

I'm guessing its the same car. Different seat belts and steering wheel. I always wondered where it came from

A picture in shorthorns, is that an internet site? It is the same car. If anyone wants to know more about i'll be happy to try and answer any questions about it. The top picture was when i first picked her up about 5 years ago.
