Hello everybody... My very first car was a metallic green 74 Maverick, with 302 power. It had a dent in the rear quarter panel, and the HUGE bumpers with the bumper guards to boot. I put some Cragars on it. 14x6 up front and 14x10's in the back. I learned all the basics from that car. I ended up selling it to a friend who parted it out... Ever since I've been on the lookout for another Mav, but ironically the prices just kept getting higher and higher. Well here I am 16 years later and I have finally fulfilled my promise. I am now the proud owner of a 1970 Maverick. Not a grabber, but it was on collector plates when I got it. I'm looking forward to swapping ideas etc. with everyone.
to this board. glad to see another Canadian also. You should contact Jimmy2 gates from this board. He lives in the same town as you. He has 3-4 mav. 1 for racing for him, and 1 for his wife , who races it also and drives hers on the street. good luck.
Hello Matt ,hows it going ,good to see you finally got yourself a forum name to the board friend .cheers JimmyAnother MCG maverick/comet group Canada west coast chapter member ,they just keep adding up,lol
Yeah it needs a 5 lug swap, and then I'll find some rims and tires. Right now it's a stocker. Gonna go 60's drag race vibe with it. I know it's a backward Idea, but that's just the type of guy I am.... Cheers
