I would like to start the 200 in my 72 before I do anything with it. The throttle shaft is stuck pretty bad on the Autolite 1v that is on the engine. I have had it soaking (on the car) for several days with some old silicon stuff. I need to get a new can of PB Blaster.
If I cannot get this un-stuck what other carbs will fit this that I can look for at the pull a part?
I was pretty much set on keeping the 200 but got to thinking about the hot rod I have always wanted. A 200 just does not seem to fit that bill unless I put some kind of turbo on it and I cannot afford that kind of stuff.
IF you have had a Maverick with a 200 in it were you happy with the way it ran? Did it have anough pep to get out of it's own way.
I worry that since I have a 71 F100 with a 460 in it (mild though it is) that I won't ever be happy with a small 6 cylinder.
I love making the Toyota and Mazda owners get in back when the light changes and the other lane ends.:thumbs2:
I love the look on their faces when they see that an old man with a broke down back made them get in the back of the line. lol
