Guys I have to tell you about my experience with Autkrafters. I bought a black Mav. headliner from them through Ebay on April 1. They said it would take some time to make it and ship it. I thought "That's cool, I have a lot of other things to do." I got a e-mail on about April 15 that they shipped it On May 2 I still had not received it and sent an e-mail to them inquiring about the whereabouts of this headliner. This is the good part. They responded quickly and said there was a mix up in the shipping that was not their fault. However, I received a new replacement headliner yesterday no cahrge and no hassle. I have to say, Thanks Misty and Autokrafters. It's good to do business with people that try to do the right thing.

    Good to hear

Runum, I'll tell Ron the owner of Autokrafters the story when I see him.
He's just like every other business man and loves to hear when a customer is happy, he hears more bad stuff then good because being a mail order company you can't please all the people all the time.
Most people when they are pleased don't say anything but when you aren't; you have a lot to say.
Autokrafters has as far as I know always tried to do the very best to make every customer happy and wanting to buy from them again.

    Take care.

    Conversely,

I cannot get an answer from Misty on how long it will take to get my V-8 cross member in.

"We have no way of knowing - end of discussion".

Not exactly what I wanted/expected to hear from a professional business's customer service "department".

I still have no idea when it's going to come in. I'll post on the classifieds that I WTB one and then cancel the order.

The comapny that makes the V-8 cross member (based off of a pattern I supplied) is very slow to make anything. They are also real slow in communicating as well. I sent them the under engine brace to use as a pattern to make repops as well. That was last summer that they "had to have it". Still waiting on that one. they are very slow, but eventually they get the parts made.

I guess I am saying I understand what AutoKrafters is saying....it is frustrating when the problem is somebody else's and you have no control over it.

    Craig,

Do YOU have someone you can contact at the fabricator regarding how long it will be?

    Just wondering.

    Thanks,

    Rick

Hi Rick, would you like for me to see if I can find one for you?
I know of a 74 maverick in a junk yard mid way between nowhere and nowhere that as one. For me that's only 12 miles away. I go close to there every other week on Tuesday, it would be no problem to take it off and ship it to you.
Just let me know and I'll get you a price.

    Crossmember...

There is not much to that crossmember. It seems like it would be easy for someone to reproduce for themselves if they had one to go by.

Yes I can call the owner of the junkyard, it's a old country junkyard and I'll bet he only wants 10-15.00 dollars for it.

I'll call him tomorrow and let you know.

BossMav - Since your in the "lets help folks with a 1974 Maverick named Rick", I also need a small part for my 1974 Maverick and yes MY name is Rick also. What a coweenkidink!

Hey - if you are calling the junkyard anyway have them look at the back of that 74 Maverick and see if it has both the rubber rear bumper gaurd inserts still on it. If they don't want too much I would be happy to pay for them plus shipping.

    Thanks!!

    Some days

Today I have nothing but bad news. The junkyard that had the 74 maverick with a 302 was crushed 6 weeks ago, today I can't help either of the ricks. I can still try and find the cross member they are a lot of other junkyards in my area. That one was always cheapest on parts! I will let you guys know what I find out in the next day or two.
