I have always had an automactic, and drove other people's stick shifts, but not with much fan fare one way or another. Until now! I recently had a 5 speed put in my SuperCoupe, and I absolutely love it!!! I know I have read posts in the past by Dennis and few others here who loved there standard transmissions, and I thought well one day I will try it. Well after driving a 5 speed for the last couple of months everyday, I am hooked! I have automatics in each of my Mavericks, but now I have a new goal (call me inspired!!), to start saving to put a 5 speed in at least one of the my Mavericks, and then go from there. Any thoughts on 3 speed vs. 5 speed? After driving a 5 speed, I don't think I would care as much for the 3 speed. I will just call it the fun factor.
If your going through the process, go with a 5 speed. Then you have the benefits of overdrive. If your not concerned about overdrive then go with a 4 speed.
Hey Maverick Guy havent seen you for awhile how you been? I had a Mustang II with a four speed in it years ago and still miss that car today. Was a blast to drive.
