Was looking at the AutoKrafters online catalog and looking at ordering close to $900 worth of weatherstrip, carpet, headliner and other stuff to maybe get a start on my Maverick when the company severs me at the end of March. Has anyone used their Gold Club for the discount and free shipping. Seems to be a lot of exceptions and packaging charges that may not apply. Also any comments about ordering the carpet-headliner etc all from them? Also thinking about ordering a new steering wheel since mine is all cracked up. Get it with the severance check before going back to payday to payday livin:rolleyes: . Some of us at the plant aint as lucky as some people(71GOLD) in being able to retire:mad: but then again I aint as OLD as he either:) .Any comments or suggestions welcome.

Kelly; LOL....not many people left that are as old as Frank!:rofl2: If your car is a 69.5 or a '70, the carpet may be a bit big for the trans tunnel. Be carefull when you put it in, and be sure to glue it down to the tunnel, and trim to fit, and it should be ok. Good luck.....be looking forward to seeing it in April. Later,:)

If you are over $800, you can get free shipping from them anyway. So figure that into the added cost of buying a "Gold Club".

I looked into it myself, but I didn't think it was worth it for me. I often find AK items on ebay for less then their catalog price. But if you buy a lot year after year, it probably would work out to save you money.

Kelly, you buy all that stuff at Melvin's Classic Ford Parts in Conyers, as well. Everything AK has, they can get. I like doing business with them.

I know of somebody older than Frank. His name is Methusela.:90:

Yep, I was going to suggest Melvins also. (y)

I'll never deal with AK again unless I absolutely have to. They screwed me around for 7 months on a fuel sending unit. I finnally cancled the order and got my money back.
