Does anyone else here have a pic of thier crossmember thats setup for lower tubular a-arms? After ordering my a-arms I noticed the lowers dont line up with the upper ball joints or spring pocket! I looked at a pic of the Maverick crossmember in their catalog and the mounting points for the lower arm look different. Basically I need to find out if this is the case so I can call them up and see if I will have to cut that loose and reset that over to line everything up correctly! This would be just my luck.
If you call them Willy or William can and will help you. They were very helpful when I had questions on my disc brake installation. Jim Reese
Well got it straight. Its a bunch of crap if you ask me but whatever. After talking with one of those guys they changed their setup and no longer sell the Heidts style arms that are in the catalog, they are now a straight a-arm setup like a coil over. Which would have been really nice to know before I ordered the crossmember to begin with. So now I have to cut the front bung off and weld a spacer in the rear. You know this is not that big a deal and Im happy with their product but I believe you have the responsibility to tell you customers your changing a product when the are ordering what they think will work for what they have out of your current catalog. I would have never ordered it had I known that and it sure was not told to me in any way, shape, or form before I ordered. They didnt even say we have a new catalog coming out with some changes. So if any of you guys are thinking of ordering their crossmember just know that now you will have to buy their new a-arms as well and if you have the old heidts style arms you will have to modify the new crossmember.
