I was discussing in another thread how my 1972 Ford Maverick Grabber was purchased new at Aclin Ford Company in Arkansas.

I googled the name and I found:

    County: PULASKI

    - ACLIN FORD CO. v. CORDELL Supreme Court of Arkansas
Official citation and/or docket number and footnotes (if any) for this case available with purchase.

    - Found a used car dealer called: Ford Aclin Co Inc.

    Sherwood, AR 72120-1753

    - Aclin Ford Co. -Dba Aclin Toyo Air Base Exit

    - HUGHES v. FORD MOTOR CREDIT COMPANY

    Credit Corporation, Defendants.

    United States District Court, E. D. Arkansas, W. D.

    - And about 27,000 other results

So....there is lots of stuff out there. Anybody in Arkansas know where this dealer is located?

I grew up in Little Rock and Aclin Ford used to be a huge new car dealership that even sponsored an evening talent show on Friday nights. Not enough room here to go into what a fixture they were on radio and TV. Biggest one I remember is their midnight talent show they ran along with some late night "B" movie with local talent, regular side-kick acts (Jessie the talking mule---that don't talk). The host for the show was Charles McRaven and I still remember it------"Charles McRaven here for ACLIN ford, AIRBASE exit, AT the freeway in downtown Jacksonville".

    Excuse me........I wax nostalgic.............

Thank you for the info.....exactly the kind of stuff I am looking for.

Marti report would work for sure.

I happen to find the original Bill of Sale in this mess:

:biglaugh: Ok, thanks. I have looked through both of my Mavericks, for such information. Yet, finding nothing. I guess I will have to quit being a cheap a$$ and get the Marti Reports.:Handshake

Oh man, I made the mistake of reading this and now I can't get Charles McRaven out of my head...

    They definitely were a fixture.
