are the 170,200,250 distribitors the same?

    Yes, they are interchangeable. There may be slight differences in the weights and advance curves, but they will swap between motors.

    It depends on the years but I`m purdy sure that 70 up all interchange. You may want to ask on fordsix.com to be sure .

    They all interchange back into the 60's. My distributor is out of a 1983 200 and I'm running it in a 1974 250. I read of people doing Duraspark conversions on 60's Mustangs all the time and using Distributors off late 70's cars in 60's 170's and 200's.
