Aod.... Info, Tech, Swapping...

    I WAS THINKING OF DOING THE AOD SWAP IN MY 302 4DOOR... ANYONE ELSE DONE THIS BEFORE? LOOKING FOR PRO'S, CON'S, TECHINCAL INFO, ETC. ALSO, WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS IF A 98 MUSTANG HAS AN AOD OR AODE. AND IS THE BOLT PATTERN FROM A 3.8 THE SAME AS A 5.0??? :drink: (y) :drive:

    Aod has been swapped in these cars.
    98 is an AODE type and not able to bolt up to a 5L/302.
    .
    Install in a Mav requires the TV cable hook up to the throttle at the carb using for proper line pressure change and is critical to have correct.
    Shift control needs to be custom altered.
    Rear trans mounting point is not exactly the at the same point on the cross member.
    If your mechanically inclined and understand these things as you go you can do the job.
