For a long time my retired next door neighbor has been looking to buy a classic car project for he and his grandsons to work on. He originally wanted to buy a Corvette, but he couldn't see spending thousands of dollars on a car that need thousands of dollars of work done to it. Today my neighbor and my husband towed home his new project car: a 1973 Maverick Grabber. John ( my neighbor ) bought the car from Chris Moses and it is a terrific car to fix up. It's a good, solid car with very, very little rust. One side of the front floor pan is shot, but the car came with a replacement panel. It's got a few bangs and dents in it, but nothing real bad, and the 302 purrs like a kitten. I'm not sure what his grandkids will think of the car, but my neighbor is very happy with it. I gave him an extra copy of an AutoKrafters magazine I had laying around and he's already shopping. It's cool having another Maverick next door. We're taking over the neighborhood!
That's cool to hear. Today on my way to Queens, NY my eyes caught glance of a really nice blue 71-72 Comet. I really wish I had some time to stop and take a picture cause this car was really nice and it had a pretty cool low stance to it. It was around the back streets of Queens Boulevard.
