    Hello,

I've got a sound coming from the alternator. Changed the belt and it still does it on low idle or as I am slowing down. I'm thinking it's the bearing. Are the bearings easy to change?

If I go with a new unit I want to go to a one wire hookup. But I have a wire spliced in now that goes to a voltage gauge inside the car. Is their an extra pin on a one wire unit I can hook the wire to and still feed the gauge.

    Thanks!

U can use any wire inside the car that,s activated when the ignition is on. I assume ur talking abt an aftermarket voltmeter?
I have one wire 130 amp; that upgrade eliminated all the reg and wiring clutter.

not hard to change the bearing but everything else in there has been used the same amount of time. get a full rebuild kit. do it all. not hard to do.
1 wire alternator is what I did and I love it. easy, clean, and much less clutter.
