I have a brand new alternator and a battery that's not that old. I just had them retested at the parts store and they are great. I made sure my voltage regulator connection is tight as well as the alternator connections so I'm not sure what the problem is. I started the car about 10 times and it doesn't seem to be slowing down any. Kinda worrying me as I don't want to be stranded anywhere.

Did you replace the regulator? Back in the day when I was in auto parts they wouldn't warranty an externally regulated alternator if the regulator wasn't replaced. You should also check your fuses, I had a similar issue and the fuse for my instruments was bad. Replaced it and all was well.

I don't believe that's it as I am getting 12.2v to the alternator. I replaced the regulator when I got the car. The most I've driven it was about 145 miles last year. My instrument lights don't work but it's not the fuse.
