alt light

    hey my alt light stays on till i hit about 100 km/hr or i rdv the piss out of it it doesnt seem to affect the starting of the car or running but it is annoying.I bought new belts and will replace the alt belt it is original to the car i hope that is the problem.Any other suggestions

    The alternator my not be charging....That's why I now have a voltmeter & did away with the idiot light....
