    Hey guys,

I have a 1970 Maverick with what I think is an automatic C4 transmission that my mechanic is telling me is missing all the shifting linkage for, and also the shift shaft.

Now I can't seem to find anywhere online to order the parts. Are these parts interchangeable with any other model of car, or do you guys have an online site you can order the parts from?

I'm not to hot with cars, I'm more of a computer guy, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

your description is too vague. does the car move?
when you move the shift lever does the car respond appropriately?
if it drives does the trans. down shift when you floor it?

Haven't tried to move it personally as I've had it on my driveway way for a while, and had it towed directly to the mechanic. When I tried to shift the car to drive it didn't respond at all. Mechanic was saying the shifting linkage was either broken or missing, and that he couldn't find a part for it.

try www.mmerlinn.com - they sell used parts for all kinds of transmissions. You may need part numbers though.
