On Oct.1 there is an All Ford (read that Mustang) Show at Summit Racing in McDonough, GA. I hope to have Sarah debut her '77 Mav at this show. Let's get some Mavericks and Comets there for this one. Here's the flyer:
Well .. it about 70 miles for me ... but driving through Atlanta traffic with a stick would make it feel like 700 ....
Sissy. It's on a Sunday and there should be no traffic. The only shifting you should have to do will be on 400. Wimp.
Them there is fighting words ... Now I'll have to bring the Grabber to show you up .. ... and on the weekend it ain't the traffic going south in the morning that's bad ... it's the traffic going north in the afternoon that kills me ..
O/T, but I figured you GA boys would know... When is Moultre??? I'd really like to get there this year. Thx Dave
AND, the weekend before Daytona speed weeks. It's twice a year - November and February. The one in November, though it is the weekend before Thanksgiving, it was setup to be held just before the Daytona Turkey Rod Run.
... I'd rather just steer clear of Atlanta ... the traffic capital of the U.S. ... Automatics are for sissies ...
I've been driving through Atlanta 4 times a day for the past 2 weeks. There are certain places where I will literally just shut the car off, put it in neutral and let gravity roll the car down the hill 3 foot at a time. Sure do get lots of thumbs up and people rolling down their window asking what year the Maverick is though. Luckily, 2 of those 4 times a day I can run in the HOV lane, but even that has it's own set of annoyances. Chicago is the only other city I have been to that can outdo Atlanta traffic wise.
