I got my AC bracket for my 72 v8 Grabber. and This is the bracket that came with the compressor. This Bracket came off a 71 Grabber. ONE of the pulleys is frozen. WHY are there 2 pulleys on this thing? I have ONE belt on my car now for the altenator. i have NO P/S or P/B. Can somsone post a pic of there bracket assembly on their car?

    Thanks!

My bracket is from a '73. I have no idea what that second pulley is - mine just has the tensioner pulley.

Here's another shot of this bracket, in its previous life.

I'm guessing maybe your bracket came from an I6 car?

to answer ur question "why is there two pulleys on this thing?"... is because one is an idler and one is an adjustment pulley

WHat a HORRIBLE way to tighten the belt then!! wouldnt a FACTORY bracket work even tho i have a aftermarket unit??? One of the pulleys is frozen and the bearing are chewed up... so i need a new compressor Bracket, if anyone has an extra one
