I still have question about trans. What is the difference between a 3- speed auto with automatic overdrive and a 3- speed with overdrive?

I would say they are the same. It is just different way to say the same thing.

If I was going to get a 4 speed automatic I would get one from a 300 I6 in a truck. An AOD is a good choice if it will bolt up (I dont know the bolt pattern of the 300 I6) If you can get one from a mark 8 or supercoupe it would be alittle stronger or you could get one from a mustang. With the AOD you have to make sure the TV cable is adjusted correctly or it will burn up in less than 10 miles but it is not computer controled like the AODE.
