A father son project 65 merc comet caliente, my sons first car
I never thought I would have another project car.. well that is until my son said Dad.......
I retired from my local school districe after 30+ years as the Sr. Computer Hardware Tech. and thought I would just take it easy. Years ago I had a 66 Dart (9.83 sec @ 135 mph in the 1/4 mile) with a 340 small block and 4 spd. Then I graduated to a 69 Plymouth Hemi RoadRunner. It ran ok but never beat the Dart. Then I got married and all of that had to stop. Recently my 15 yr old son asked when we were going to do a project car together. We looked at alot of cars but he liked the 65 Comet best so we took it home and started the dis-assembly. I really can't remember having as good a time as I am now working with him!

Welcome to the board. Congratulations on having a father/son project. I had a 69 Roadrunner a long time ago. It had the 383 magnum/4speed in it. That was a fun car. Good luck n your project.:Welcome:

    Howdy and :Welcome:
Looking at Mopar prices, I bet you wish you still had that Hemi Roadrunner.
