But one I don't have the answer to? What kind of glue or what do you use to attach the little plate on the front windshield to put the rear view mean on? I was thinking of using elmers wood glue but figured that would not work? lol, just kidding? Thank you!

You can p/u a tube of specific rear view mirror adhesive from any parts store, comes in two little vials, one for prepping the glass and the other is the adhesive. Very easy to do. If you can't find any I'm sure your local glass shop would do this for a minimal charge.

Oh that, just kiddin, I have a wink mirror. When I worked at the Pep Boys, if I remember, the kit was like 5 dollars or less. Easy to do, I also suggest to let the little piece you glue on first set for a day before hanging the mirror and BESURE youhave it facing and pointing in the right directions!

Thank you guys! I just talked to my engine guy and he said the motor will be done in about 3 weeks. I'm getting more excited as time moves on for this project. And yes, when the time comes pictures will follow. Before and after.

Around here, you can get those Permatex kits at Wal-Mart, and they stay open 24 hours! Give them a try...if they have stuff, the parts places usually can't beat the price.
