I know a couple of you have already done this, but I need to clarify and restate the recent policy change made by the MCCI Board in reference to planning and scheduling of mini meets.

All reps making arrangements to have meets need to notify me directly well prior to any announcement. This way, I can make sure that Dennis has the info to put in Shorthorns and also to give any help that you may need. Also, it helps to keep track of all the meets being planned. I am going to contact Bill Alexander first chance to avoid any meets being held at FFW events from being denied awards, as has recently happened. We'd like to see one standard for our participation at all FFW events which ultimately will make it easier for reps holding their meets there.

We also need to make sure that all meets are held within the recently adopted guidelines made by the Board, i.e., parking together.

I fully realize that some of you do not feel that a coordinator position is necessary and also may not be completely happy at the Board's choice to fill this position, but in the best interests of MCCI, the Board felt it important and I accepted the appointment also with the best interest of everyone at heart. I am to answer directly to the Board and the reps to me, this is how it is supposed to work. I'd like to be able to do this job right so I need all of your help. I'd love any constructive suggestions on how to help you.

If any of you have any questions, please feel free to address them to me directly. If you'd rather for any reason, you can contact Dan or Shawn about this Board policy, etc.

    Together, there's a lot we can accomplish!!(y)

Wes; I think it is a great idea to have a coordinator. I think that a single point of contact for the FFW people and Bill Alexander, and also for any of the tracks that sponsor events. It makes it easier to coordinate and schedule events, and if the state reps have a problem, it is much easier to resolve. Thanks for what you do, and the help for the Ga. mini-meet was greatly appreciated. Take care,

Wes- I think you should make Doug (DAB) inform you every morning before he steps out his door into his own personal meet! :)
