Does anyone have anything negative to say about building a 1995 302 from a gt mustang?? I know there are some that say that some years are better than others. Are there any down fall or pitfalls for the short block I just picked up for $50.00.. No ridges, still see the cross hatch in all the cylinders...Very nice stock bore... Let me know if anyone has any info or know any links that may help me.. Im looking to do a mild build 375-425 horse, all motor of course(NA).

the only down fall is the hyper pistons if you plan on using them if not you can make 375hp and have no problems

the hyperutetetic (sp?) pistons are sensitive to detination. so if you plan on using nitrous or puting a blower or turbo on it you have to be carefull on not to go lean and cause detination. otherwise they are great. they are lighter than forged thus being more ineffiecent.
the timing chain cover, water pump, and accessorie brackets are all different. you can use all that stuff or put all your mave stuff on it

I have a '95 Mustang 302 FI in my Mav and I love it just fine. Good luck!

thanks for the info guys... I will be buying new piston and rods, they were left out in the weather and look like crap... So I will be going forged and I have a set of H-beam rods.. Thanks again..
