I agree with the last post.

I cant believe that a business that has been around for 27 years would have this type of customer service, telling customers they cant ask where their product is, and that any attempt with e-mails will simply be deleted. This is probably a back yard mechanic working out of his home garage trying to make a few extra bucks.

By the way, it doesnt take 10 days to find where the post office is.

Damn good price and you won't believe the dumb questions that buyers ask. Sounds like the seller has been through hell with buyers. I sell everyday on ebay and sometimes you have to put such things in your adds or buyers take complete advantage of you. I would buy one at that price all day long.

Yeah that reply is just what we top sellers are talking about his auction is clear as day and maybe you should read his feedback and see for yourself the two knuckle heads that left negative feedback as apposed to the 700 plus positive then you may not be so quick to be a smart a$$!

my only concern is, what do you did if the part is damaged or doesn't work, can you return it or is there a warranty?

First thing I'd do is check with Bryant (San Diego Gear & Axle) to see if he has what's needed. I haven't bought anything from him but he contributes a lot to the forum and seems like a standup guy. Doubt there'd be any warrantee issues with his stuff.

Bryant upgraded my 8" rear. He swapped in a later model with later housing for the 5 bolt. He straightened the housing, installed Auburn posi and rebuilt my drums and of course installed 3.25 gears as well. I saw him do it, there is just a lot of little details and blueprinting that others won't do. He is very reputable and some of the nicest cars come into his shop. I have no complaints yet.

I don't have anything against the seller. He might be great. Just saying I'd check with Bryant and support a very helpful member of the board if it made sense. Feel like I know him a little after reading his posts for a year. Some posts were expressing concern about a warrantee.

I've had good experiences with most ebay sellers but really bad experiences with a couple. I'll avoid ebay when there's a good alternative.

that price is really good. its hard to get a good core 9" these days. and even harder to get a good used limited slip (or as gm owns the rights to the name) posi.
a new posi costs around $475.00. i am not a fan of yukon gears. they take a long time to set up due to them not having the same tolerances of fords gears. they almost always make noise also. that case that is being used is one of the weakest cases. over all i say if you have an 8" keep it and put a posi and gears in it. the 8" should be strong enough for most street cars. if your braking your 8" (with a stage 3 clutch and wheel hop) thers a good chance youll brake that 9" case as well. so yes that is a good price for that thirdmember that is being offered. the question that comes up is do you need a 9"?

I don't think he is worried about the ad saying it has a warrenty, I think hes worried about if he happens to need it from a guy who already clearly acts like ebay buyers are such a hassle for him. I know I wouldnt want to be in that position after reading his ad

Ebay has deals go bad both with sellers and buyers that have great ratings. No one is saying not to by it, they are just commenting on the guys comments.
