I found a 80's something thunderbird sitting behind a u-haul store yesterday and the guy wants $20 for each bucket seat......... i am going back tomorrow to get them....i cant believe i finally found something for cheap...and the seats are immaculate....(just blue and my interior is black oh well..)

here is the question.....has anyone used these seats...i know anything can be made to fit, but if someone has used them and can tell me there secrets and techniques i would really appreciate it

so there it is....this means that my bench seat is now up for grabs.... it needs work...but it is functional...

i cant believe it.....i went and got the front seats today and the drivers side is electric and it worked.....we cut out the harness and found the two wires to wire it up and i cant believe it but the seat motors all worked......i paid $50 for the entire front seat....

i put it in the mav tonight and it fit fine....the drivers side sits almost level and the passenger side needs work....once i get the floor boards for the 71 mustang i am sure it will fit better..... seeing as how the mustang floorboards look flat and the maverick floor boards are raised in the middle where the bench seat mounted and then it drops off in front and slops downwards to the rear....

    wish me luck...im going in

and i also took off both fenders and cleaned up under there and sprayed with underbody coating....as soon as the camera film (no moeny for digital) is used up i will post some pics....

Go to Walmart and get the small stick camera. I paid $20 for mine and it has more than paid for itself. The pictures are perfect for posting here on the board. Check any of my posts and you can see what I'm talking about.

well the thunderbord seats fit just fine.....my biggest concern is the overall width.... although the seats sit kinda close to the doors, they dont hit....and there is a ton of leg room now....

they look good inside, i just need to get everything reupholstered so everything matches...but that will be a while from now

i checked the altch before i took the car to the welder.....and the latch seems a little sticky....if i slam the seat back allt he way back it will lock and buonce then spring forward...so i am guessing that it is a little old....

i will shoot some cleaner in it and wd-40 it
