My 77 Mav came with an L6 but I recieved it with a 302 on the hoist (it was free, including the hoist, lol). So I ordered new motor mounts from RockAuto.com (Part #2316) and I was under the impression they were a pair. So I have one motor mount and I was wondering if the left and right mount are identical, and if so, should I just order another one just like the one before.

Will suck to have to pay double shipping for a rookie mistake, lol.

You could buy motor mounts local and save the shipping charge. Left and right mounts are the same part number

Ditto rthomas.Do you have the V-8 frame stands that mount to the car??(the mounts bolt to them) You will need em if you dont have em.

So the frame stands are different as well? Hm, how much do they normally run?

You can buy new ones through Crites,or get used ones out of a V-8 Mav/comet donor.
You could post in the parts wanted section that you are looking to buy a set also.Going rate is anywhere between 30 and 60 bucks depending on the seller for used ones.New ones from crites are 100.00 bucks plus shipping.
Yes 6 cyl and V-8 stands are different.

You will also need a belly bar if you replace the I6 rto V8

I take it a belly bar is like a cross member but for the engine? So, mounts, frame stands, and a belly bar. Anything else? lol

Also, can someone find pics of what the frame stands look like? I saw them on crites (without pics) for $99 but I'd rather try my luck at a salvage yard for a lower price.

Thank you for all the replies!
