how would i go about getting a choke plate on? i have compaired the 650 to the 750 and it looks like it cannot come off. Anyone else have this problem?
The choke plate and rods are replaceable. You have to remove the two screws that hold the plate in place (they are riveted so grind the back end off then remove the screws normally). remove the screw that holds the linkage to the shaft and remove the shaft. Install the shaft and screw the linkage back on. Then install the plate with new screws and expand the back side.
Mabey i should have said what you just said to clarify The whole setup was missing but i just figured it out. The plate comes out with a flat head screwdriver and vice grips, i have it all on the 750 now Now where does that air line go? it was on top of the carb
What kinda car is this? Why does everything but the writing look backwards? I would say the hose might go to a heat tube on the exhaust somewhere.
If you look at the valve covers they say Detomas so I am assuming the car is a mid engine car, something like a Pantera.
It doesnt really matter now, found out my carb is a manual choke. Something different, mabey i might like it?
There have been several times in recent past that I would have loved to manually choke someone...:16suspect
I have always preferred manual chokes but if you don't remember to release it you can go through a lot of gas fast.
