Does anyone have any pics of a 73 maverick bumper without the guards or rubber? I am considering taking mine off and sealing up the wholes so I can paint the bumper. Was considering fiberglass small bumpers but they are expensive, dont offer as much protection, and from how I understand it from other posts the aftermarket ones avaiable are not very well made.

There ARE no aftermarket bumpers for our cars unless you are talking about the Fiberglas ones

but from what I am told the fiberglass ones aren't very good or places like Showcars don't even ship then on some occasions. are there any good fiberglass ones out there? would rather have that anyway since I plan on painting it, but dont want to shell out $150 for a crummy one that I am gonna have to Gerry-Rig anyway.

Soak the nuts on the back of the inserts with PB Blaster or the like. They WILL break off if you don't. Then you have to weld all thread on to the stubs to put the inserts back on....or so it would seem.
