Is a 73 front bumper worth trying to sell? I know there is an interest in the earlier model bumpers but I haven't seen much interest in the 73. I am trying to make room in my garage and am just wondering if it is worth holding on to.

i dont throw anything away but that's just me. there's a market for them, especially if they dont have the rub strips or bumper guards.

theyre definatly more valuable then 74-77 bumbers. personally, if i was doing the swap i'd hold out for 70-72 bumbers but there may be someone out there who'd like to go with a 73

Do not scrap a 73 bumper that's decent. It's unique to the 73 model year, therefore the most rare. Plus they look just as good or better than the 70-72 bumper IMO.

Scrapping it would not have been a smart idea.

Personally I like the 73 mid-size bumpers, it is a good place to set your tools on when you are tinkering with the engine. I would like to find one in really good shape with out the gaurds and strips for my 73 comet.

I don't think its a good idea to toss out any orginal Ford parts. Even bad parts can usually be restored. In the future, orginal parts will be harder to find and repo parts are just not the same. I think it is good to have orginal Ford parts where possible. Reproduction parts are ok if there is no other choice.
