71 to 74 upgrade comet

    i want to use a 71 comet door on my 74,,are the interior door release assys interchangeable..the 74 appears the same internally..any one have info ..TIA for help!

    does the NEW roof rail SEAL haVE THE PINCH WELD TRIM FASTENED TO IT or do i have to but it seperately?? thx

    Yes it has the pinch trim fastened to the weather stripping.

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    You need to look at the inside of the 1974 door. It should have the provisions to move all your hardware over from the 1971 door.

    thx for the tips guys.. you and forum have been most helpful..the roof rail gasket seems elusive,,A/C doesnt have any in stock..not sure if danny carpenter sells to general public..any suggestions,,,mine isnt bad just shrunk in a curve at the top of the B pillar. i wonder if i should wedge cut it there and fill the area with black silacone and save $150??
