Well it's me again..I am at my wits end trying to figure out why my instrument cluster is not working. I have replaced the small fuse and replaced every bulb behind the cluster panel but still a no go. If the headlights work does that necessarily mean that the gauge cluster is getting juice to it? I am trying to prevent an electrical shop from taking advantage of a simple issue. As always any help is much appreciated...Maverick Barber
A bad light switch will allow the head lights to work but keep the dash lights from working. A bad ground will do the same. Electrical problems are hard to trouble shoot over the internet.
Might be a bad rheostat on the light switch or they are dimmed all the way down. Have you turned the light switch knob to see if it makes a difference?
not only rotate the knob for the headlights clockwise and back but jiggle it while you are rotating it. mine has a couple dead spots in it that if you turn the knob to dim the lights and it hits a certain spot the dash lights go out all together
