They bolt up, but do not sit flush on the back panel.
Also, they make turning the key in the trunk a bit tight.
Nothing terrible, just letting you know.

You can't really see it unless you are looking for it.
I was just letting you know, in case that sort of thing might bother you.
It bothers me just a little, but that's only because I know it's there.
No one else seems to notice. It's been on my 75 for 18 years now.

It's been 2 decades, so I don't remember much... but if it was hard, I wouldn't have done it!;)

Seriously, to my memory, it bolted right up.
I seem to remember having to find just the right bolts to make it work.
Nothing serious. The hole pattern is the same as the ring that retains the filler tube to the rear panel. The stock flip down cap has a locating stud as one of the bolts, and the rest are loose. So the stud goes through it's hole, you put a nut on it, and that retains it until you install all the rest of the individual bolts.

IIRC, the stock Maverick bolts wouldn't work and allow the cap to shut.
I want to say that I had to get low profile, or counter-sunk bolts (with screw type heads) to use in the remaining holes.

It was far from anything major.
