Ive got a 74 comet 4 door spun 250 bearings not long after buing. was looking for 302. and found one in a 68 galaxy selling motor and trans together. will the mounts off the galaxy work on comet. what will i all need off of it to make it fit and work
the motor mounts wont work in the maverick. you will need to get maverick motor mounts and v8 frame stands.
Will radiator work. and will or original drive shaft splines. into trans. and will the wiring to starter be good enough or should I change guage. thank again
I doubt if the radiator will work from the galaxy. If your car has a c4 the driveshaft should work. I think the starter wiring should be fine
the galaxy may have a fmx trans. i think the fmx uses a differen output spline. you need to confirm what trans is attached to that motor.
Its a C4 so thats good. will horse power be higher being its got points or will converting be worth it. he wants 590.00 for both with only 64000 miles. is there another car I could use mounts and stand off of because part stores dont know if they can get
I would pass at that price but thats just me. The odometers n these cars turned over at 100k so the engine could have 164k or even 264k miles on it. An old woman that lives by us has a fran torino with 93k miles on it and I was told the engine was complete junk. I would try and find an ho engine out of a mustang if your willing to pay $600 for a 302
I called down to the mustang museum today in mitchell sd he said come down drop oil pans see what is good he has huge storage room full said pay anywhere between 300 to 600 what do i all look for to see what one to pick and is there a way to tell if its
has higher compression and performance is there a block color or some thing just wanna cover my bases rather than just buy galexy motor. thanx
