Anyone have these mounted to their Mav? Would like to get a pic or two of a Maverick with these taillights on it. I found a set today and am thinking about having them do the sequential thing, like a cougar.

I also remember seeing a video of it with the sequential tail lights somewhere too. Just use the search function for the site and you should be able to find it.

It really gets a rise out of some people where those tail lights came from. I've had some people know my car was a Maverick, but they didn't even realize the tail lights weren't factory. Also a guy at Advance Auto tell me he likes my Shelby lights.

Here's mine. I always liked Dennis' lights, but I wanted sequential turn signals. When I learned that the Caprice lights had three red lenses, I just had to do it.

I did have to run a new heavier power wire back there to power all the bulbs. You figure the Maverick wiring was designed for just two bulbs, and after 35 years it's hardly adequate for that anymore. Put six bulbs back there with the factory wiring, and results aren't good. The turns signals weren't working well and the factory wiring was getting warm to the touch. The rear lights (including the side markers and tag light in the rear) are all powered off a new 12 gauge wire, and the factory Maverick wiring is connected to three relays to control it all.

The sequential kit came from here: http://webelectricproducts.com/

I absolutely love 'em. They look more correct than the correct ones, in my opinion. I also have a pair of round Mustang reverse lights to go in the valance, whenever I work up the nerve to cut that up. Ditto what Jamie said on the wiring.

I love the look of all those different tail lights and since i only seem to see front pictures of your cars it's a bit of a surprise to see what lights are on who's Mavericks. I like them almost as much as my Comet tail lights.:D

Don't have them right now. I've got a plan for them though. Just haven't had time to screw with them, and probably won't for a while. I don't really have much use for backup lights. In the nearly 90,000 miles I've put on this car, it's never had functioning reverse lights..

Personally, If I went with Jamie's set up, I wouldn't worry about back up lights. I like the clean simple look.

Very nice!!!! Thanx for the pics, that makes my decision much easier! I too will be doing the sequential lights, got a setup from ebay a while back for my 05 mustang and they work great on it. Also found new red lenses on ebay.
