I have a factory air maverick but I put a 5.0 motor in. Can i make the 5.0 a/c pump work with the maverick a/c unit.

What belt(s) and pulleys are you using -- V or serpentine?

I have a Sanden compressor with the '72 belts and brackets. I'm using the Sanden compressor with the original evaporator and it works fine.

If you're using V-belts and pulleys you can buy a bracket to mount the Sanden compressor on the V-belt AC bracket. I believe you can install a V-belt pulley on the Sanden compressor. I bought a Sanden with the v-belt pulley installed.

If you're using the 5.0 serpentine belt, pulleys and brackets, no problem there, right?

I would think you could get some hoses that have the correct ends for the new compressor and the correct ends for the factory Evaporator/Condensor. Wiring would probably need the old plug cut off and the modern one installed.

Can't help you there. Don't know what you'd do to add an AC compressor to that setup. Guess I'd start with the number the ebay seller listed and see what they suggest. If you have the 5.0 AC bracket(s) and compressor have you tried a test fit with the underdrive pulleys?
