I am really considering making a swap from my I6 to a 302. However, I am not very experienced at this.....is there something specific I need to look for, or will any Ford 302 work? I also want to swap my 3 spd. manual to something else....any suggestions are greatly appreciated :)
I don't have a lot of tools or money so easy and cheap is preferred....thanks again for your time =)

    ..."easy and cheap"... = time...

do you have a place to do the swap and how long can you tie this place up?

You'll need v8 mounts and stuff unless you know how to do some small fabrication (not hard)

If you buy a running motor/transmission (which isn't cheap) then you can do the swap in a weekend minus the exhaust work.

Just take into consideration all the things you will need.

New exhaust, possibly new driveshaft, possibly new transmission crossmember, radiator, transmission cooler if you go automatic, making lines for said cooler, etc

It can get expensive and time consuming in a hurry
