Well, slowly but surely the new motor for my Maverick is coming along! Have new valve covers coming from autokrafters, have new intake, also made up a new mount for my alternator, b/c the one that was on the motor had all that pollution crap on it. Should have the engine in the car ahead of schedule! Possibly around Thanksgiving. Hopefully there won't be any snow on the ground so I can give 'er a rode test!

Yep, plan on cleaning the alternator and painting the new bracket. Also have to clean the coil yet.

Btw, before I permanently mount the oil pan, someone told me about the front and rear main seals, that they need some goop put on them to help seal. Is this true? I do have some hi-temp gasket sealer, maybe I should lather some of that on?

Any suggestions? on anything? I'm all ears!

Thanks you guys, never would have made it this far without your help!!

Looks good! On the oil pan,,I always run a real light film on the ends, put pan on an tighten,,, then goop er up on the outside,, before you put the flex plate on. Smooth out for prettyness!
